Sincere sympathies to the family. Elizabeth Knox was my grade 3 teacher @ Tyrone Public School, the year she started teaching there. What a great lady & I know she remained connected to my Mother as long as she was alive.

Kevin, and Janet, and of course all of the family, this condolence is not only on behalf of myself, but also my brother , Professor Jim White, who taught you both your music, and thought so much of you. We had taken your mother to Fenelon Falls to dinner at Jim and Dib's, and shared many memories growing up in Fenelon. I am also with the Aqua fit group, so of course I spent time with your mother here as well. My prayers go out to you during this trying time.
Sincerely
Eleanor Schultz ( White )

Elizabeth gave so much of herself to her church and community. Despite her personal challenges she was pleasant company. We have fond memories of Don and Elizabeth and their family. Take care of each other.

Elizabeth and I met when we were Grade 9 students at Fenelon Falls Continuation School (later, High School). When Elizabeth broke her leg, I remember making a second copy of Science diagrams, notes, etc. for her. We became good friends, attended Teachers' College together and maintained contact even after I went to Niger as a missionary. Elizabeth was a friend on whom one could count.
Janet, thank you for calling to tell me of your mother's death.

Liz Knox was our Junior Room teacher at SS#18 Tyrone Public School....we were her very first teaching job. Many of us were in the Senior Room, our country school had only two rooms, but we loved Miss Knox. One weekend she took a few of us Senior girls home to meet her parents and to spend the weekend at their farm in Fenelon Falls. We had such a great time, we have never forgotten Elizabeth, although most remember as Miss Knox. Memories made but never forgotten.
