Obituary of Donald Bruce Hogarth

Donald Hogarth of Bowmanville, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017, surrounded by his family at Thorntonview Long Term Care, at the age of 81. Donald is survived by his loving wife Martha Hogarth (nee Poisson) and his children Steve (Cathy Adams), John, Jim (Joan), Donna (Lawrence) Clark and Bill. His grandchildren Danielle (Ryan) Hanicz and Mitchell (Anna) Hogarth and great grandchildren, Chloe and Piper Hanicz. He is predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth (Betty) Hogarth, his siblings Jack Hogarth deceased (Joan) and Doreen (Bruce) Wallace, deceased. Donald is also survived by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Donald was a proud member of UA Local 46, Steamfitters and Pipefitters for the past 64 years. A special thank you to the staff of Bowmanville and Whitby Hospitals and Thorntonview Long Term Care, for their care and concern. Family and friends are welcome to the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St., Bowmanville, for visitation on Wednesday January 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH on Thursday January 26th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
