Dad, i really miss you,
I just wanted you to know.
Things have really changed,
Since you left 8 years ago.
Thoughts of you are here,
Images everyday,
I can even hear your voice,
And the things you used to say.
Today i'll light a candle,
And have a couple beers.
I'll try to keep myself distracted,
While i wipe away the tears.
Ill try to keep my head up
When life gets really rough,
Because you always taught me,

I miss you everyday,
One thing I know for sure
You always did things your way.

Because I write one every year,
I put these thoughts to paper
While I drink a beer.
I have a sip for me
Then take a bunch for you,
I'll sip it 'till I take a nap

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Thursday August 6, 2015 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday August 7, 2015 at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Lung Association.
