Obituary of Brenda Beal

(nee Hicks) Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa on Friday, December 23rd, 2011 at 71 years of age, after a lengthy illness. Retired employee and long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Oshawa. Loving wife for 51 years and best friend of the late Harold Beal who passed away November 30th, 2010. Loved mother of daughter Terri (Kevin) Tanner, and sons Dale and Brian Beal. Adored by grandsons Blake (Jenna) Tanner and Shane Beal and granddaughters Cali Tanner, Nicole Beal and great grandson Jaxon Tanner. Dear sister to Arnold Hicks and sister-in-law to Inga White, Cynthia Richards, Daphna Day, Harry, John, Abner, Hyle, Lloyd and Raymond, and the late Hollis, Donald, Earl, Leaman and Alberta Ibbitson as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Agnes (Walton) Shea. In keeping with Brenda’s request, there will be no formal funeral service. A memorial service for Brenda will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 7:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Simcoe St. S., Oshawa.
