Obituary of Douglas John Bateman

March 29, 1932 – November 21, 2014 Peacefully passed away at the age of 82 with his wife Janet by his side at the Village of Taunton Mills in Whitby Son of the late Edna and Harper Bateman. Doug is survived by his children Ronald, Raymond, Richard and Rhonda and their spouses. Loving grandfather of David, Kim, Jason, Daniel, Mark and Kathleen and great-grandfather of Ella Rose, Reesa, Ayden and Fiona. Very special brother to Marilyn & Jack, Barbara, Shirley and Sam. His many nieces and nephews will remember their Uncle Doug with all the fun times they shared. He will be forever remembered by his “adopted” family Maureen & Doug, Rick & Sonny, Pam, Rick R. and grandchildren and great grandchildren of the Aubrey Family. For many years Doug was “the roof doctor” of Adair Roofing, making many friends along the way. Very Special Thanks to the staff, doctors, nurses, personal support workers and Dr. Reed at Village of Taunton Mills. Each and every one of them were with Doug throughout his illness, where he was treated with kindness and respect.
