Obituary of William Joseph Oakman

In his 83rd year On October 5th, 2012 at Southlake Hospital Newmarket, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Prostate Cancer. Bill joined his wife Rena, who passed away exactly 4 months prior. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Amy (Gauthier) and by daughter Lori Leahy. He was the proud father of Lynn Milbury (Gord), Bill (Dianne), Doug (Kim), Scott (Michelle) Donna Fyfe (Steve). He was the much loved grandfather to William (Yuki), Robert, Laura, Jessica, Tyler, Carly, Sydney, Shauna, Charlene and Samantha. He was especially happy at the arrival of his great granddaughter Kaede. Thanks also to very special in-laws, George and Betty Hatfield. Always a willing volunteer to many organizations, especially the Wexford Hockey Association. Bill also enjoyed both playing and coaching various sports. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Oshawa Cancer Centre, Bowmanville Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre.
