Dearest Uncle Peter,
Our hearts ache that you are no longer with us, but we trust that you are reunited with your beautiful sons, Luca and Anthony, and Christ, our savior. From my first interaction with you to my last, you were nothing but warm, kind, and full of Christ's love and understanding. Even throughout your battle with cancer, you managed to astound me with the profound amount of grace, dignity, and faith that you displayed. The most difficult part of reciting the "Our Father" is stating "thy will be done" with a sincere heart because, as humans, our innate desire is for our own will to be done. Through our time together, you taught me that His will is paramount through your beautiful and courageous desire to let God's will unfold in your life. This is something I will carry with me always.
Uncle Peter, thank you for the humor, stories, and songs you shared; the formative memories you helped form (especially our visit to Graceland); and the love you shared with your immediate and extended family. We love you and pray that God blesses you and keeps you and that His face forever shines upon you.
You will be profoundly missed, but never forgotten.
